ADILON STAR is a zero-foaming, highly effective universal washing off agent for cotton, polyester and denim. ADILON STAR improves the quality and reproducibility of virtually every textile wet process. Also promotes calcium chelation, improves levelling and prevents redisposition of dyes while washing off.

Characteristics
Benefits
Excellent dispersing capacity

Highly efficient dispersant for insoluble and sparingly soluble calcium salts, pectins and other impurities such as cotton linters. Thus, Improved levelling and reproducibility.

Suitable for peroxide bleaching and baths and alkaline scouring

Protective colloidal function to avoid precipitation of heavy metals resulting in a high liquor stability.

Excellent capacity to chelate magnesium and calcium ions

Helps in avoiding agglomeration of dyestuff. Ensures dyes are well dispersed.

Promotes solubility of hydrolysed dyes

Improved gum removal with a better white and enhanced luster.

No de-metalizing effects on dyestuff and improves penetration and distribution of dye liquor

Improved dyeability, higher color yield and enhanced fastness to rubbing.

Excellent dispersing properties for cotton lint, soil and inorganic matter

Functions as a levelling agent of reactive and direct dyeing. Avoids tinting on dyed or printed good.

Bio-eliminable and phosphate free

Not toxic or harmful to aquatic organisms. Easy to handle and soluble in water all proportions.

Application:

Dissolving / diluting

ADILON STAR is a protective colloid that can be diluted in all proportions by pouring on cold or warm water. ADILON STAR has a very pronounced dispersing effect on the impurities such as waxes and pectinates contained in raw cotton and on precipitated solids caused by hard water. It also has a moderate complexing effect on metal ions. This prevents calcium and magnesium ions from impairing the solubility of anionic dyes and their affinity for cotton.

  • Virtually all the dye is taken up by the fibres when vat dyes derived from Indanthrone, are applied in hard water.
  • Hydrolyzed reactive dyes are prevented from forming calcium salts, which are difficult to wash out, in hard water. ADILON STAR does not affect the shade or the fastness of textiles dyed with reactive or direct dyes that contain metals.
  • ADILON STAR is low-foaming and has no affinity for anionic dyes.
  1. Exhaust Method:
    ADILON STAR – 0.5 – 2 gpl
    – As a protective colloid or reactive levelling agent for improved performance.
  2. Washing off process by Exhaust Method:
    ADILON STAR – 1 – 2 gpl
    – MLR 1:10, Temperature 85 ⁰C for 20 – 30 Min.
  3. Washing off process by Exhaust Method:
    ADILON STAR – 0.5 – 1 gpl
    – As a dye bath Conditioner

PROCESS GUIDELINES:

  • pH of the first washing Chamber should be 4 – 4.5. Add Acetic acid at regular intervals to maintain the pH.
  • Water of Washing Chambers 2, 3 & 4 should be continuously changed/Running.
  • Initially, dose 1 gpl of both ADILON STAR & ADILON HYPERDET before starting the washing process. For example, if the washing bath is of 1000 litres, add 1 kg of both the products in the hot tank.
  • Add 0.25 gpl of both the products every half hour depending on the colour depth of dyed/printed goods. For example, add 250 grams of both products in a 1000 litre tank every half hour or as and when required.
  • If Water in Washing Chambers 5, 6 & 7 looks more turbid or dark coloured, it should be drained partially or fully.
  • The Washing program should start from white to pale-pastel colours to Medium to Dark shade printed goods.
  • Especially red coloured goods/sensitive colours which bleeds more should be done at last with new liquor.
