Wetting cum de-aerating agents are chemical compounds designed to improve the wetting properties of liquids while also removing the air entrapped inside the substrate and also eliminating foam formation in the liquor. This combination is particularly valuable in processes where both efficient spreading of liquids in alkaline media and foam control are necessary.
Properties:
Due to its excellent wetting action, proper wetting takes place in short time particularly in continuous dyeing which results in a uniform shade. In exhaust application, it helps to remove entrapped air thus leading to thorough wetting before addition of any other chemical. It can also be added in de-sizing by pad batch application to improve pick-up.

Application:
ADILON SDW is used as a padding auxiliary and wetting agent in long liquors with following classes of dyes:
- Vat dyes, indigo, reactive dyes, direct dyes, disperse dyes and sulphur dyes.
- ADILON SDW is pre-dissolved in the water and added to the pre-treatment baths.
- Can be used in printing paste for deaeration of the paste and improving solubility and penetration of the dye.
