ADILON DCOR

Add Your Heading Text Here

ADILON DCOR is an anionic dispersing agent recommended for processing of polyester and blends. This product is particularly suitable for package dyeing of polyester tops, yarn and fibre, which are dyed at low liquor ratio where the pump turbulence is high. Under these conditions, dispersion of dyestuff may break leading to agglomerates which results in uneven dyeing, particularly, darker dyeing at inner and outer layers.

Also, salt content of water, namely TDS also has an adverse effect on dispersion stability. Under such unfavorable conditions of dyeing, addition of ADILON DCOR improves dispersion stability and ensures stable dispersion throughout the dyeing cycle. ADILON DCOR also improves dispersion stability of pad liquor in padding of ground shades with disperse dyes.

Characteristics
Benefits
Improves colour uniformity

As an effective dispersing agent and protective colloid, ADILON DCOR stabilizes dye dispersions In dyeing and printing processes, ADILON DCOR helps ensure that the color is evenly distributed throughout the fabric. This results in consistent and vibrant colours in the final textile products.

Consistent quality

Eliminates oligomer problems both during dyeing and reduction clearing of dyed polyester. Improved solubility of high molecular and metal complex dyes.

Minimise equipment fouling

Improves dispersion stability of dark shades dyed at low liquor ratio in package dyeing, The use of ADILON DCOR can help prevent the clogging of dyeing machines by preventing the accumulation of solid particles.

It is stable to hard water with high TDS

Compatible with the other chemicals and processes used in textile manufacturing to ensure effective dispersion without adverse reactions. Also stable in hard water, high electrolyte, acidic & alkaline conditions.

Prevention of streaking and spotting

Without ADILON DCOR, uneven dispersion of dyes or pigments can lead to streaking or spotting on the fabric, which affects the overall quality and appearance of the textile. ADILON DCOR helps to eliminate such problems.

Application:

Cleaning the dyeing machine:
Because it is such a good dispersing agent, when ADILON DCOR is used for the first time, it may loosen deposited disperse dye and oligomer which have built up from previous dyeing carried out with a less efficient dispersing agent. It has been known for tar-like deposits, from machine heat exchangers for example, to spot onto the first batch of yarn or fabric dyed with ADILON DCOR.
It is therefore recommended that the machine be cleaned first, before any dyeing commences, with:

  • ADILON DCOR : 2 to 4g/l
  • Solid sodium hydroxide : 2 to 3 g/l
  • Sodium hydrosulphite : 1 to 3 g/l

This liquor should be circulated for 20 to 30 min. at 120°C to 130°C and then cooled, dropped and the machine thoroughly rinsed, before any dyeing commences.
Batch wise dyeing of polyester with disperses dyes:
General guidelines may be given as shown below, but bulk experience should be the deciding factor e.g.

  • For heavy shades use : 0.2 – 0.3 g/l ADILON DCOR
  • For medium shades use : 0.3 – 0.5 g/l ADILON DCOR
  • For pale shades use : 0.5 – 1.0 g/l ADILON DCOR

Guidelines for different types of machine are:

  • For circulating liquor : 0.5 to 1.0g/l ADILON DCOR machines (yarn package and beam)
  • For jet machines use : 0.25 to 0.5g/l ADILON DCOR

Preparation of naphthol ground shades:
In azoic printing for West African styles, ADILON DCOR improves the stability of the diazo linkage and of the development baths. Its outstanding dispersing power maintains a colloidal solution in the developing bath and prevents surface deposition. The colloidal solution is easily removed after treatment and results in improved rub fastness when a base or fast colour salt is overprinted. ADILON DCOR is recommended at 1 to 4 g/l in the liquor for preparing the Naphthol solution by boiling with caustic soda to maintain solution while padding fabric at 70°C.
Vat dyes and indigo:
In the pre-pigmentation processes, where substrate (yarn or fabric) is exposed to un-reduced vat dyes or Indigo at high temperatures around 80°C, before the ‘vatting’ process with sodium hydroxide and sodium hydrosulphite, an addition of 0.5 to 1 g/l ADILON DCOR is beneficial.
Use of ADILON DCOR in this manner is also useful in alkaline pre-pigmentation, before the addition of sodium hydrosulphite to form the soluble leuco compound(s).
Printing:
To improve the flow properties of print paste prepared using tamarind gums add 0.1 g / Kg of ADILON DCOR to stock paste.
Reactive turquoise dye dissolution during pasting:
ADILON DCOR – 0.5gpl (especially high molecular weight dyes).
