Characteristics |
Benefits |
---|---|
Reduce BOD/COD | Approximately 50% reduction in BOD/COD in comparison to acetic acid. |
Has greater core alkali neutralization | It is often used as a de-sizing agent, helping to remove sizing agents applied to the fabric during weaving. This is an essential step before dyeing or finishing the fabric. |
Very less odour & much less volatility | Assures consistent results in all types of materials such as viscose, jari, nylon, cationic by nylon, cotton, polyester etc. |
Works even in hard water & no yellowing of shades in case of white | No fumes generated thus ensuring labour’s health. |
Economical compared to acetic acid | Compared to some other chemicals used in textile processing, ACID 2000 is considered more environmentally friendly due to its biodegradability and lower environmental impact. |

Use as the same dosage as acetic acid. In many operations, it will work at lower concentrations than acetic acid. - Polyester / nylon dyeing – yarn & fabric:
ACID 2000 – 0.5 – 1 gms/ltr. (To adjust pH 4.5 – 5.5). - Print Batching:
ACID 2000 – 0.6 – 1.5 gms/ltr (To maintain pH-5).
