The Eco-Conscious Fabric Solution:
Reduction clearing is a post-dyeing process used primarily for polyester fabrics to remove unfixed disperse dyes and improve the fastness properties of the dyed material. This process involves treating the dyed fabric with a reducing agent and an alkali, which reduces the unfixed dye molecules, making them soluble in water and thus removable from the fabric.
Commonly used agents include sodium hydrosulfite (sodium dithionite) & usually sodium hydroxide (caustic soda) is used to create an alkaline environment.
ADILON ARCO:
A highly effective reducing agent in liquid form which is applied under acid conditions for the reduction clearing of disperse dyes on polyester, acrylic, cellulose acetate goods and their blends.
BENEFITS:
- GOTS & ZDHC Level – 3 compliant.
- Cost-effective alternative to conventional R/C treatment.
- Improved fastness properties.
- No separate neutralization required as it is done at mild acidic pH.
- Water & energy saving product.
- Improves washing, rubbing and sublimation fastness.
- Effluent out from this process is almost colorless thus reduces load of ETP.
ADILON ARCO is a reduction clearing agent cum oligomer remover in liquid form for polyester and blends. It is applied under acidic conditions for reduction clearing of PES dyed fabrics. It can also be used for boiling out machines and apparatus.
Characteristics |
Benefits |
---|---|
Versatile product suitable for application in all types of dyeing machines | Suitable for reduction clearing in exhaust and continuous method, suitable for disperse dyes. |
Stable product does not get affected by hard water | No addition of caustic soda and hydrose required, can be applied using automatic dossing. |
Reduce process time , which results in higher productivity | No separate neutralisation step required as it works at acidic pH thus helps to get higher productivity. |
Less or very low colour discharge in to the effluent treatment system, there for lower dosage of decolourising agent are required, which reduces the cost effluent treatment | Lower water and energy consumption, which means lower processing cost and less effluent being discharged. |
Oligomer removers help in reducing unwanted residues in the textile material | Can enhance the performance characteristics of textile materials, including strength, flexibility, and durability. |
Dyeing solution become almost colourless thus prevents staining background | Fastness to rubbing, washing and sublimation are improved. |

FAQS
Cutting-Edge Fashion & Textile Solutions
No, ADILON ARCO eliminates the need for caustic soda and hydros, which simplifies the process, reduces water and energy consumption, thereby saving time and reducing process costs.
ADILON ARCO results in lower color discharge into the effluent treatment system, reducing the need for decolorizing agents and minimizing the overall treatment cost.
For exhaust dyeing, the recommended dosage is 0.3-1.0% OWF at a pH of 4-4.5 and a temperature of 70-80°C for 20-30 minutes. For continuous dyeing, 3-10 gpl at a temperature of 80-90°C is suggested.
